How George Kitchen Is Dealing With The Coronavirus

Keeping our customers and employees safe has been our top priority during the coronavirus pandemic. We want to reassure our customers that we are taking extra precautions to keep the risk of exposure to COVID-19 to a minimum. Taking information from the UK government guidelines and advice from the World Health Organisation, we have put in place the following safety steps when completing any plumbing and heating work.

Although these steps may slightly alter the way we do things, we still aim to give our customers a top quality service whilst keeping safety in mind.

Our COVID-19 Policy

Before booking a boiler installation or any plumbing work, we politely ask that you notify us if you are suffering or showing any symptoms of coronavirus. This way, we can keep our employees safe and help you by devising a plan to rearrange to a different date. We will keep reviewing our policy as the situation develops. Our engineers have been taught how to adhere to the government guidelines of social distancing, no physical contact and personal hygiene.

To reduce the spread of coronavirus to our employees, we need to know:

  • If you have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

  • If you are self isolating.

  • Visited any country outside of the UK 14 days before your boiler installation date.

  • If you have any symptoms of coronavirus.

The measures we have put in place to keep both you and our employees safe.

You can expect:

  • No handshake on arrival, making sure to keep a 2 metre distance at all times.

  • All tools and vans are regularly and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

  • Our installers and engineers are provided with disposable gloves and face masks.

  • All engineers will carry out a risk assessment with their customer to make sure it is safe for them to enter the home.

  • Engineers will spray and wipe down all areas where they are working.

  • All of our engineers at George Kitchen have been instructed to self isolate if they start displaying symptoms of coronavirus.

Thank you for your understanding as we all try to deal with the situation as best as we can. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
